2021 - Escape Room

In the spring semester of 2022, TEA@UCF designed and built our second full-scale project. In this escape room, The Backstage Backstab, the lead of the play has gone missing and the players are tasked with going into their dressing room to try and find where they've went. However, with just 45 minutes until curtain, it is revealed that the jealous understudy of the lead has trapped them in the costume closet and, now that the players know, they are locked in as well. We had 9 groups come through from 11 am until 8 pm, with over 40 participants in total. The record was 40 minutes to escape and 7 out of 9 groups made it out successfully!

2021 - Virtual Escape Room

While the spring 2021 semester saw continued virtual meetings for our club, we were still able to organize a club-wide project for members to participate in. This project was a virtual escape room called Game Hopper, centering around the main character who gets sucked into an old arcade machine and must navigate through different genres of video games to get out. Each week groups would work together to come up with the different puzzles until a final game was assembled! You can play this escape room for yourself by clicking the link HERE

2019 - Escape Room

The 2019 Escape Room was TEA@UCF's first full-scale club-wide project. Participants had to escape a freezer and a kitchen in order to evade being captured by cannibals. We had hour-long time slots running from 12pm - 9pm, and over 25 participants. It was completely constructed by our TEA@UCF members and built in the UCF Student Union. We hope to do at least one club wide project like this every year.
